Sweden-based outdoor power equipment maker Husqvarna will buy the assets of U.S.-based Dixon Industries Inc. for an undisclosed sum. Husqvarna, which Electrolux spun off and listed earlier this year, said lawnmower maker Dixon, a subsidiary of Blount International Inc., made an operating profit of U.S. $3.1 million last year on sales of $54.4 million. Husqvarna said it will move production of Dixon products to its plant in Nebraska. The acquisition is scheduled to be completed at the end of July. |
